Terms of service

Thank you for taking the time to read Broomfield Coffee Company's Terms and Conditions. By using this website, or placing an order with us by telephone or through www.broomfieldcoffee.co.uk (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@broomfieldcoffee.co.uk.

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Amendments

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, and any changes will be posted on the Website. Continued use of the Website after a change has been posted means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the Website.

2. Who We Are

The Website is owned and operated by Broomfield Coffee Company Limited ("Broomfield Coffee Company", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

3. Accessing the Website

Use of the Website requires your own internet connectivity and equipment. We are not liable for any telephone, data, or other costs you incur in accessing the Website.

You must be at least 18 years old, or using the Website under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to place an order with us.

4. Product Descriptions

Products and packaging may vary slightly from the images shown on the Website, which are for illustrative purposes only. We make every reasonable effort to describe and display our products accurately, but colours, packaging, and appearance may differ slightly from what you see on screen.

5. Coffee Roasting & Dispatch

All our coffee is freshly roasted to order, so we require a minimum of one working day before we can dispatch it. We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 business days of being placed. During particularly busy periods (for example, over Christmas), this may take slightly longer, though we'll always do our best to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

6. Orders

Once an order has been placed, it moves straight into our roasting and dispatch process. For this reason, we are unable to cancel or amend an order once it has been placed. Please check your basket and delivery details carefully before checking out.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, at our discretion, including where we believe an order has been placed in error, at an incorrect price due to a technical or pricing error, or where we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised use of the Website. If your payment has already been taken for an order we cancel, we will refund you in full.

7. Pricing & Availability

Prices for our products and services are subject to change without notice. While we take reasonable care to ensure all pricing and product information on the Website is accurate, we do not warrant that it is always complete, current, or error-free. Where a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical or system error, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order, even if payment has already been processed, and will issue a full refund where this occurs.

8. Shipping & Delivery

We currently offer free shipping on all subscription orders and on any UK order over £50; a standard shipping charge applies to smaller orders. We do not currently offer international shipping, though this is something we may introduce in future.

9. Returns & Refunds

As coffee is a fresh, perishable product roasted specifically for you, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on coffee once your order has been placed and dispatched.

If there has been an error with your order, please contact us at info@broomfieldcoffee.co.uk as soon as possible after receiving it, and we will do our best to put things right. This does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Subscriptions

Our subscription service allows you to receive your favourite coffee on a recurring basis (weekly, fortnightly, three-weekly, or four-weekly), tailored to your chosen coffee, grind, and quantity. Full details are available on our Subscriptions page.

Subscriptions can be managed, amended, or cancelled at any time via your online account. To allow our roasting and logistics team to plan ahead, cancellations require 30 days' notice. This means your next scheduled delivery and payment will go ahead as planned, with your subscription ending after that. Once ended, you will not be charged for, or sent, any further deliveries.

11. Gift Subscriptions & Gift Cards

Gift subscriptions and gift cards can be activated by entering the unique code provided at checkout. A payment method must be added to activate a gift subscription, but no charge will be taken for the gifted portion.

12. Wholesale

We supply wholesale coffee to cafés, restaurants, gyms, hotels, and offices, and offer barista training for our wholesale customers, delivered either 1:1 or in groups. If you're interested in wholesale, please get in touch via our Wholesale enquiry page.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including text, images, packaging design, logos, and other material, is the property of Broomfield Coffee Company and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use only, provided you keep all copyright notices intact. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy, distribute, or use any content on the Website for commercial purposes without our written permission.

  • gain unauthorised access to any computer system;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Website, its networks, or other users' enjoyment of it;

  • copy, reproduce, or store material protected by copyright without permission.

We reserve the right to refuse service, restrict access, or remove content at our discretion, including where we believe use of the Website is unlawful or harmful to our interests.

15. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience only, and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any linked site. Visiting a linked website is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.

16. Availability of the Website

We aim to keep the Website running smoothly but cannot guarantee it will always be fault-free or uninterrupted. Access may occasionally be restricted for maintenance or updates. If you spot a fault, please let us know at info@broomfieldcoffee.co.uk and we'll do our best to fix it promptly.

17. Liability

The Website is provided without warranties or guarantees beyond those required by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

18. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including strikes, industrial action, extreme weather, natural disasters, or restrictions imposed by any government or public authority.

19. Severance

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
